With the right system size, it’s entirely feasible. The energy you generate depends on your system’s size, the panels’ orientation and the sunlight your location receives. In many cases, excess power can even be fed back into the National Grid.
Without batteries, your property would switch to using the National Grid’s electricity in the evening and through the night. It’s more efficient – and cost-effective – to charge batteries using solar power in the daylight and then switch to using stored battery power after sundown.
